Suspension training was formulated by the American company Fitness Anywhere, Inc. This type of training requires the use of TRX suspension trainers, or two sturdy, adjustable straps with handles that can be anchored to a point above the head level of a user. These straps can easily be mounted on a pull up bar, power cages, or a room’s ceiling.
By doing functional movements and patterns, suspension training can help promote the simultaneous development of your body strength, balance, flexibility, and muscular and joint stability. Suspension training also enables you to progress or regress the intensity of the routine’s workout by adjusting the distance the body from the suspension trainer. The amount of resistance that can be utilized depends on the distance of your body from the suspension trainer that actually changes the angle of the movements being performed.
